My Face
My name is Nick Kelly, and I am what would be classed as an emerging (read struggling) filmmaker;
‘Nick has always been drawn to entertaining others, but it was only recently that he began to try to entertain people through the visual medium of film/video. Instead of taking the traditional path through film school, Nick has wasted no time in getting out there, experimenting and learning as he goes. It is this method that hopefully shows Nick’s creative talents best.
In a short time, Nick has begun to climb the slippery career slope of movie making, with a number of short films being screened not just in Australia, but in the US as well. As a writer, Nick’s short film scripts have ranged from winning such things as ‘Best Comedy Script’ at film festivals, to being immediately discarded and trashed by competition judges. Oh well, he’ll keep on trying.
Nick likes to tell a (hopefully captivating) story with anything he makes, and wants to draw people in to laugh, cry, sob, or swear at his creations, as he sees fit. In short, Nick is the puppet master. You are the ventriloquists dummy.’
