Over the weekend I was rewarded with some good news Re: My Creativity. A short script I wrote called “Caesar’s Lament” has been in and out of a few screenwriting competitions over the last year making various levels of said comps. It’s a script I’m quite proud of and believe it deserves to be made by proper film people with a proper film budget. Currently, it has been made a finalist of the Gimme Credit Screenplay Comptetition and a Semi-Finalist in the First Glance Film Fest.
With Gimme Credit, the script now runs againts 13 others to be produced and screened at film festivals. With First Glance, it now runs against just 2 others to be provided with co-production funding and in-kind services. Hopefully this will help me secure a producer here in Australia as I would love to direct this myself.
